§ 2.56.070. Emergency situations and authorization for the use of county vehicles.

A.

Employees are permitted the use of county vehicles in emergency situations related to the duties of their job, without the prior approval of the department head, when the department head is not immediately available to provide authorization.

B.

Registered civil defense volunteers are authorized to ride in county vehicles when assigned by the director of emergency services.

C.

Immediate family of county employees who are assigned vehicles are not permitted to ride in county vehicles except with the prior approval of the county administrative officer.
